If you are only getting as Forum RSS feedback or Email Notification feedback, just the first unread post in the earliest topic of the earliest board -- e.g. the Announcement about Registering (or this very post), you may want to uncheck (in your Profile):
     "Receive reply notification only for the first unread reply" .

Hopefully the default of this checkbox will be changed soon.
