I am running the planing speed prediction on a trimmed surface and it looks like the result take in account the whole surface, the untrimmed one. Is that possible?
My max. planing length is longer than the trimmed surf!

I have used the module before and never noticed that but this is the 1st time I work on a trimmed surf.

Hi,

The Orca3D Savitsky calculation should only be considering the portion of the trimmed surface that is visible. I did a quick test here just to confirm that. Would it be possible for you to send us the problem model to review (with the inputs you are using to the calculation)?

Thanks,

Larry

I found the problem: I wasn't reading the report file properly.
What disturbed me was "max. planing length" on the 1st page. That's an input, not a calculated value.
It is exactly the length of the surface I used for the calculation.

I have used that module before without any problem and don't know why, this time, I made the assumption that this was a calculated value . . .

Sorry for the stupid question.
