Hi,

I wanted to know if there is a way to calculate hydrostatic equilibrium of a submerged hull (submarine like) with Orca3D

I know it is not so complicated to do it manually but maybe it is already there.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Kao,

You can certainly use Orca3D to compute the volumetric properties of a submerged hull. Simply define a flotation plane above the highest point in the model and the resulting volume and centroid of the submerged geometry will be computed. Is this what you are looking for or is there a more specific analysis you require?
