Hi, I draw my boats in millimeters, so when I start the hull assistants I get a default boat that is 10mm long, etc.  Also, at times I hit enter when I should click on another entry, and the hull is generated before I am done.  No problem, I just delete it and start the assistant again, and it has stored the values.

This got me to thinking that it would be handy if a) ORCA would remember the parameters between sessions, and b) if I could save and load sets of data for the assistant, such that I can store a starting ground and quickly load it, try a design, and do that again and again as I 'sketch' designs to see what I like and what works.

Grant:

Thanks for your suggestion. We agree that this would be a useful addition, and it's been added to our development list. It's clear that we need some sort of Orca settings file, where this information would be stored along with units settings and other preferences that are specific to Orca.
