Hello All,
I have just downloaded and installed the new WIP release, it looks very good with some nice improvements. I have a problem however, and it maybe just that I'm too stupid to find it, I seem to have lost the toolbar. I have found the file "Orca3D.tb.bak" and removing the .bak will give me back my old toolbar but without the new features. Is this just me or was it forgotten in the download file?
Thanks.

Hello,
Is this behavior occurring in Rhino 5? There appears to be an issue we are trying to figure out with the way toolbars are loaded in Rhino 5. In the meantime, you should be able to load the new toolbar by choosing Tools > Toolbar Layout from the main menu. If you have an Orca toolbar collection in the collection files list you should close it. Then in the Toolbars form choose File > Open... and browse to the new Orca3D toolbar. Assuming you are running Windows 7 this should be in C:\ProgramData\DRSC3ATC\Orca3D\Orca3D.tb.
Let me know if this helps.
Regards,
Larry

Hi Larry,
I had look in C:\ProgramData\DRSC3ATC\Orca3D\ this is where I found the Orca3D.tb.bak file. there was no Orca3D.tb file. In order to have something to work with I removed the .bak extension and used the old toolbar.

Hi Fergus,
Thank you for the update. This should help us to diagnose the issue.

Hi Fergus,
For us to properly replicate your issue, could you please tell us which versions of Rhino you are using and the version of Orca3D that you are upgrading from (if applicable)?
Thanks, Dan

Hi Dan,
I am using Rhino 4.0 SR9 9-Mar-2011. The Orca version I upgraded from is V1-1-0. From the name of the download file.
Thanks, Fergus

Hi Dan,
I am not sure if you managed to find an answer to this one however other symptoms that seem to go along with this issue are that Orca will not always load automatically. I have it set to load automatically but invariably I have to do a manual load. If I save the Rhino file before I realise that Orca isn't loaded than all the sectioning information is lost to Orca. The layers are still there but Orca does not see them and I have to go through the process of defining the sections, buttocks etc before the hydrostatic calcs can be performed. Which reminds me the "Real-Time Hydrostatics" have stopped being real time. I have to hit the "Design Hydrostatics" button to get it to update! Any clues as to how to fix this would be much appreciated.
Regards, Fergus

Fergus, I will contact you offline to sort out these issues. The not loading automatically may require changes to your registry. If others are having a similar issue with Orca3D not loading automatically, please contact us at support@orca3d.comBest Regards, Justin
